Align Release 1 Registered Entity Training

by Marnie Moskowitz | Jan 26, 2021

Align and the Secure Evidence Locker are newly developed standardized platforms for entities to manage their Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement (CMEP) activities and evidence.  With the implementation of Align, all of the regional entities in the ERO Enterprise will be using a common system and consistent processes for managing CMEP activities with their entities.  The Align rollout consists of three releases with full implementation by the end of 2021.  SERC entities will begin using Release 1 functionality in Align as well as the Secure Evidence Locker on May 24, 2021.

Release 1 Training

Primary Compliance Contacts (PCCs) and Alternate Compliance Contacts (ACCs) for all Registered Entities in the SERC region are encouraged to attend one of these sessions (the material will be identical for each of the overview sessions). This training will give entities an in-depth demonstration and teach users to utilize Release 1 functionality:

  • Create and submit Self-Reports and Self-Logs
  • Create and manage mitigating activities and Mitigation Plans
  • Generate a report of Standards and Requirements applicable to your entity
  • Receive notifications and view dashboards on new/open action items
  • Manage user access for your specific entity
  • Receive and respond to Requests for Information
  • View and track Open Enforcement Actions

The dates that we have set aside for registered entity training for Align are:

March 11, 2021:    9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. EST – (Recorded)

March  24, 2021:   9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. EST

June 10, 2021:      9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. EST

Unable to attend one of these sessions?  SERC will record the WebEx training session for one of these training dates and will post the recording on our public website for our registered entity compliance staff to review.

In addition, SERC will offer small group training sessions for those who have attended one of the above courses and need more detailed training sessions to understand specific tasks or answer additional questions.  Dates and registration links for these sessions will be provided at a later date.

All entities seeking to access Align need to register for an ERO Portal account and complete the steps for Multi-Factor Authentication that automatically appear when attempting to log into the ERO Portal for the first time.

Please review the registered entity Align training materials (videos and user guides) prior to training.
