SERC is one of eight regions in the U.S. responsible for monitoring the reliability of the bulk power system, and the award is given annually in recognition of electric reliability excellence. MISO President and CEO John R. Bear accepted the award on his company’s behalf at the February 2, 2016 SERC CEO Summit meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina.

MISO, based in Carmel, Indiana, received the prestigious award in recognition of its dedication to the delivery of reliable electricity.
