Holly is the General Counsel for SERC and oversees the legal team along with providing strategic advice and counsel to the President and CEO. She also interfaces with NERC legal and regional legal representatives to develop new initiatives, review and advise on incoming FERC orders, among many other duties and responsibilities consistent with the position.
Prior to joining SERC Holly served as Associate General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel with NERC in Washington DC, where she was employed for eight years. During her NERC tenure she provided strategic advice and legal input to NERC’s Chief Executive Officer and NERC’s Senior Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary on corporate governance matters for the NERC Board of Trustees and its committees, including preparing confidential memos to the Board on matters of strategic importance to NERC and preparing Board resolutions and minutes.
She also served as a member of NERC’s management team, providing strategic advice and legal support to the executive management team, and was responsible for modifying governing documents, including the Rules of Procedure and bylaws, and internal procedures and corporate policies.
Holly received her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in Washington, DC. She is a member of the American Bar Association - Section on Environment, Energy and Resources, the Energy Bar Association, and the Women's Council on Energy and the Environment.
